Babs PowellFriday 26 October 2001
This summer, after ten months at sea, Babs Powell sailed into Southampton Harbour after completing a gruelling 30,000 miles in the BT Global Challenge round the world yacht race.

Before making the decision to compete, the nearest she had come to being on board ship was when she used to dance on naval frigates on Top of the Pops with Pan's People.
She tells Martha about flying fish, 70 foot waves and sharing 72 foot of space with 17 others.
