A new piece of legislation comes into effect on Monday 1 October, which aims to lend a helping hand to young people leaving Care.
Every year some 55,000 young people leave Children's Homes and Foster Care in search of independence.
The experience can be so traumatic that many can't cope and find themselves on the streets.
We meet two young people who did make it despite all the odds.
