Letting the media in to report on the family courts
The Government has announced that family court hearings are to be opened up to accredited journalists for the first time. The move is part of a package of measures designed to ensure greater transparency and scrutiny in an area where many argue there is too much secrecy. So how will these plans work and what will be done to ensure the children’s interests are protected?
