Ricky Hatton's Mum21 Nov 2008
Ricky Hatton's biggest fan

Ricky Hatton was not successful when he last fought in America, tomorrow he goes for it again. He’ll step into the ring in Las Vegas to fight the American, Paulie Malignaggi, for the IBO Light Welter-Weight title. And as ever, one of his most enthusiastic supporters will be his mother, Carol. Even though her son is now worth millions, she still runs her carpet stall in Glossop, just outside Manchester, three times a week. But what is it like to watch your child take the punches? Gareth Davies, the boxing correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, spoke to Ricky and Carol in Glossop.
