Wife of the Holy Prophet Mohammed

Ayesha was one of the wives of the Holy Prophet Muhammed. She was married very young, but her guidance was frequently sought on intricate religious and judicial matters. She lived for some 48 years after the death of Muhammad. Dr Shuruq Nageek, lecturer in Islamic Studies at Lancaster University, tells her story to Angela Robson.
