Pork Pie
In Yorkshire, they take their pork pies very seriously : there's even a Pork Pie Appreciation Society, which meets every week at the Old Bridge Inn in Ripponden near Halifax to taste and pass judgement on the best pies. It's a competitive business - every butcher likes to think their's are the best. The only woman to receive an award from the Pork Pie Appreciation Society is Elizabeth Knight of Marsden near Huddersfield . Her daughter Celia runs the family butcher's shop and Elizabeth and sister in law Judith, make the pies out the back. Chris Hawksworth joined them at the crack of dawn on pie making day.
