The choreographer explores how cultural differences are influenced by culinary experimentation
Shobana Jeyasingh is an award-winning choreographer and founder and artistic director of the Shobana Jeysingh Dance Company. In her work she uses the Indian classical dance form Bharata Natyam as the starting point to create a dance language of her own. Her latest piece Just Add Water? is inspired by the culinary creativeness of multicultural Britain.
Just Add Water? runs at the Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House, from Friday 1 May 2009.
