Dilston Physic Garden in Northumberland is a contemporary physic garden inspired and created by Professor Elaine Perry, a neuroscientist at Newcastle University who directs research into plant medicines. Herbs and trees with properties for health and healing grow in abundant quantities, labelled with their traditional medicinal uses and up-to-date scientific, clinical evidence. Caz Graham went along to the garden.
The Garden is open from 2 April to end of September on Wednesdays and Thursdays 11am - 4pm.
