A first time British win for two women

Nicola Minichiello and Gillian Cooke secured gold at this year’s World Bobsleigh Championships at Lake Placid in New York. They became the first-ever British women to achieve the feat, and at the heart of their success lay the social-networking website Facebook. Nicola found her fellow gold-medallist Gillian Cooke through the website after messaging 20 young women who seemed to have the right attributes for competitive bobsledding. Nicola joins Jenni to discuss her unprecedented success, and explains how it came to pass.
