Fewer than six per cent of engineering professionals are female and this week the Royal Academy of Engineering is starting a marketing campaign to attract more women. Emily Cummins is a young inventor who has designed and built a fridge powered by sunshine. As a result, she is now known in the African countries where she has taken her product, as 'The Fridge Lady'. She talks to Jenni about her drive and inspiration and about why more women aren’t turned on by technical professions.
