The traditional bastion of the Conservative Party has voted to allow women to join as full members

Once the headquarters of the Tory Party, the Carlton Club is still an important venue for networking and power brokering amongst Conservatives. Even though it was founded in 1832 it has only decided to allow women to join as full members this week. Prospective Conservative candidate Louise Bagshawe tells Jane why she thinks this a great step forward for women.
