This year Liverpool is celebrating being European Capital of Culture. Woman’s Hour are marking the occasion with a series of features discovering some the treasures in the city’s Museums and Galleries which have a particular significance for women. We’re starting the series at one of Liverpool’s newest museums – the International Slavery Museum. Today’s treasure is - unusually –not a physical object. Louise Adamson met up with Vikky Evans-Hubbard, who’s a Demonstrator at the International Slavery Museum, to find out more about the object that’s she chosen as her treasure. The first public performances of the play will be on Bank Holiday Monday – the 5th of May at the International Slavery Museum – which is housed within the Maritime Museum at the Albert Dock in Liverpool.
