What does it take to run the gaming tables?

More women than ever are working as croupiers, attracted by the chance to travel and the promotion prospects. So what is it like to be on the other side of the gaming table? In the first of two features on the pros and cons of working in the gaming industry, Judi Herman has been to the Regional Gaming Academy at Blackpool and The Fylde College, where croupiers receive formal training and qualifications on an intensive twelve-week course.
