Germany's Far Right Women21 Nov 2007
Stella Palau
The women of Germany's National Democratic Party

In Germany, far right politics are once again in the news, as the National Democratic Party makes dramatic progress in the old east. The NPD's success is partly attributed to the involvement of women, who make up to forty percent of the party's new members. Women are also swelling the ranks of the militant neo nazi groups and for the first time they are taking prominent leadership positions. Rosie Goldsmith has been in Germany to investigate the phenomenon of a new generation of National Socialist women and profiles the NPD's leading lady - Stella Palau.

And you can hear more on the rise of the German far right on Crossing Continents, BBC Radio 4, 1100, 22 Nov 2007
