Canterbury Cathedral is the Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion but centuries of weathering and modern pollution have taken their toll on the building and a massive conservation project is now underway. A walk around the Cathedral reveals that much of its stonemasonry is crumbling. Leading the stone restoration work is stone mason, Heather Newton and our reporter, Anna McNamee went to meet her.
