Women of the Yorkshire Gliding club
In the 1930s the world was captivated by Yorkshire pilot Amy Johnson and her record breaking flights. But though it is her name that lives on there was another Yorkshire woman who was also making her mark in aviation. Moyra Johnson was still in her teens when she became one of the founder flying members of the Yorkshire Gliding club, - and now at the age of 91 has the honour of being the Club's President.
