Breast Cancer: Diary of a reconstruction Part One 16 Oct 2007
Kerry Fowler, features editor at Good Housekeeping magazine underwent a mastectomy after finding a lump in her breast. She could have chosen to have reconstructive surgery at the same time, but decided she didn't want the additional operation. However, she changed her mind and went ahead with surgery.

Our reporter, Anna McNamee, went to meet Kerry the day before she was due to go into hospital, and her consultant Mr Tony Armstrong, who runs the breast reconstruction unit at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor.
