The British Museum is more than 250 years old and one of the most famous museums in the world. For the first time it has allowed television cameras to go behind the scenes for a series for BBC2 called “The Museum”. And they’ve also allowed Woman’s Hour access. Dr Judith Swaddling, Head of Italian Collections in the Greek and Roman department at the Museum, took Louise Adamson to meet an Etruscan woman who lived in Tuscany around 150 years BC.
