FANY - Marjorie Inkster4th June 2007
The FANY's
The FANY, the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry, celebrates its one hundredth anniversary this year. We hear from Marjorie Inkster who volunteered for radar training during the Second World War. She was posted to Hampstead and found herself at the age of twenty-two in charge of thirty men, looking after the radar for five London gun sites, shooting down enemy planes.
