London's Wallace Collection is renowned for its 18th and 19th century French arts but in recent years it has played host to several contemporary exhibitions. The Collection has also recently employed an associate artist, a modern artist using the classical works of the galleries for inspiration. Jerwood Drawing Prize Winner, Charlotte Hodes is the first associate and her new exhibition, called Fragmented Images, uses the central motif of the female figure in a range of work including painting, drawing, papercut collages and ceramics. Dr Rosalind Savill, Director of the Wallace Collection introduced reporter Lizz Pearson to the artist Charlotte Hodes and to the Collection itself.
The exhibition - Fragmented Images by Charlotte Hodes is now on at the Wallace Collection. Open Daily - admission free until June 24th 2007.
