Although she is only 27, Katie Targett-Adams is already one of Scotland's leading Celtic harpists with three CDs to her name. She has developed her own blend of crossover music, performing a variety of styles from pop to jazz, from traditional Scottish melodies to classical pieces.
She performed at the opening of the Scottish Parliament building two years ago and is keen to popularise her instrument, the clarsach, otherwise known as the Celtic harp. Recently she has returned from her fourth tour to China where she has become a major star and attracts audiences of up to 10,000 people.
She joins Jenni to discuss the appeal of the Celtic harp and to perform live in the studio.
Her new album Hush Hush will be released next month containing a mixture of contemporary original songs and her arrangements of Scottish songs.
