First aid: choking31 Jul 2006
Last week a 13 month old baby choked to death on a raw cube of jelly. It was small enough to swallow whole, but was too big to get through his larynx.

In our series on First Aid Claudia Hammond spoke to Yvonne Dormer, Commercial Training Coordinator for St John Ambulance and to 15 year old Matthew from Sussex. He's been a cadet with St John Ambulance with five years, but had no idea he would be trying out his skills so close to home...
