Sister Gregory, long-serving York nun12 Apr 2006
The Congregation of Jesus is the new name for an old order - the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The order was founded over 300 years ago by Mary Ward, a pioneer both of women's education and of apostolic religious orders for women.

Today, one of their main religious houses is the Bar Convent in York. Amongst the longest-serving of the nuns there is the order's archivist, Sister Gregory.

Clare Jenkins went to the Bar Convent to meet her.
