With the prospect of a hosepipe ban taking effect from next month for some areas of the country, what steps should we be taking now to minimise the impact of water shortages on our gardens?

Anne Swithinbank, a familiar voice from Gardener's Question Time, will be giving advice on how to plan ahead for the dry summer, with tips on what and when to plant, and how to help preserve moisture in your soil.
