Male baldness09 Apr 2009
Brian Beacom six months after his hair transplant
Should men embrace their baldness or fight it?

Going bald is a perennial issue for many men. Julius Caesar invented the laurel wreath to cover his head and Frank Sinatra and Charlton Heston both wore hairpieces. Today, hair transplants have become popular with celebrities such as Elton John and David Cassidy undergoing the procedure. Brian Beacom has written a book about his own hair transplant experience. But is being bald actually such a bad thing? Or as a society do we favour those with a full head of hair? To discuss these issues Brian Beacom joins Jane Little along with author Toby Young, who is bald and proud.

Diary of a Hair Transplant by Brian Beacom published by Phantom Publishing ISBN 9780956132208
