Her New Exhibition at Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Twenty four years ago, a fresh faced graduate from the Royal Academy was offered a job at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on the recommendation of the artistic mega star, Elizabeth Frink. Sophie Ryder has now gone back there with a collection of some of her best pieces. It includes large scale ‘wire drawings’ and her famous sculptures of women’s bodies with hare’s heads – known as the Lady-Hare figures. Reporter Caz Graham went to meet her.

Sophie Ryder’s exhibition is on at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park until the 2nd of November.
