The company which gives children a chance to take part in full length ballets.
The London Children’s Ballet has been harnessing children's enthusiasm for dancing for nearly fifteen years. More than fifty children from across the UK, travel to rehearsals every Sunday for five months, culminating in a performance each May - this year it’s Jane Eyre. The company also take part in outreach work in hospitals and schools, targeting those who are unlikely to come into contact with ballet. Felicity Finch went to meet the company's founder, Lucielle Briance, and some of the young dancers, at a recent rehearsal with choreographer Nicole Tongue.
