The Behaviour of Moths12 May 2007
Poppy Adams
Poppy Adams’ chilling debut novel.

Poppy Adams is a former documentary film-maker with a background in science. Although she had little experience of creative writing, when she started her family, she began putting down some of the stories in her head. Poppy joins Jane to talk about her first book, The Behaviour of Moths, which tells the story of two sisters, reunited in their ancestral family home after 47 years. Ginny, the reclusive moth expert, has always had an “instinct for insects”, but finds people more troubling. The arrival of her sister forces her to confront family secrets long buried.

‘The Behaviour of Moths’ by Poppy Adams is published by Virago, ISBN: 978-1-84408-486-9

The Behaviour of Moths is Radio 4’s Book at Bedtime starting May 12th 2008
