This year marks the seventieth anniversary of the publication of Daphne Du Maurier’s ‘Rebecca’. Like many of her novels, it’s set in Cornwall, in particular the countryside and beaches around Fowey, where Du Maurier lived. Josephine King, a local blue badge guide, knows the book and the landscape well and leads a specialist guided walk through the area. Fiona Clampin and the novelist Celia Brayfield met up with Josephine near the house where du Maurier lived for more than 20 years.
