UN Convention on the Rights of the Child19 Nov 2007
The treaty reaches a landmark anniversary

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is the second most ratified human rights treaty in history. The UK ratified the Convention sixteen years ago and as it reaches its 18th year, we discuss its significance and asses whether the UK Government is living up to its obligations. Rob Williams, Chief Executive of 11 Million, the office of the Children's Commissioner, and Carolyne Willow, from the Children’s Right’s Alliance for England, join Jane to discuss the Convention.
