Comedy writer and actress Jessica Hynes on the perils of the driving test.
Is it ever a good idea to teach your better half to drive? Can true love survive the stresses of an emergency stop at a pedestrian crossing? Jessica Hynes, comedy writer and actress famous for her roles in Spaced and The Royle Family, has finally passed her driving test, after ten years of lessons. And she passed just in time to film a one-off television drama ‘Learners’. She talks to Jenni about why she found it so hard to master driving and they are joined by Tiff Needell, racing car driver and presenter of Channel Five’s Fifth Gear, who believes that women struggle with driving because they just aren’t driving fast enough.
'Learners' is a BBC Films production for BBC One, showing at 9pm Sunday 11th November.
