The prolific fundraiser who died of cancer on 3rd September 2007.
Jane Tomlinson was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2000 and given six months to live. She decided to start running to raise money to help others and went on to compete in three London Marathons, the only person to do so whilst undergoing chemotherapy. She also took part in triathlons including one of the most gruelling, the Florida Triathlon – 16 hours of swimming, cycling and running. Jane died having raised more than £1.5m. Joining Ritula to discuss her achievements is Maureen Rutter, from Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the many charities to benefit from Jane’s endurance and determination.
