Joy Chambers
Writer and actress Joy Chambers on her new novel "For Freedom".

For Australian and British TV viewers alike, Joy Chambers is most affectionately known for playing Rosemary Daniels in the soap opera Neighbours. As an actress she began to explore the art of writing, her love of history being the inspiration for her work. Her fifth novel 'For Freedom' is set at the beginning of world war two, and examines the lives of four main characters whose lives are disrupted when the Japanese begin their conquest to capture the whole of South East Asia. Joy Chambers joins Ritula to talk about how her experience as an actress has helped to complement and enhance her ability as a writer.

'For Freedom', By Joy Chambers, published by headline books. ISBN 0 7553 0938 3
