There have been a number of calls to tighten the law on abortion over the last few months. One MP has sought to lower the 24 week limit on abortions, a move that another is expected to repeat this summer. Ann Winterton MP has called for compulsory counselling and a mandatory cooling off period of one week before an abortion can be performed. But is further delay a help or a hindrance and has public opinion shifted on the abortion question?
