It was 1983 when the first image consultancy was established in the UK, giving advice and training. A leading UK search engine reported that 2005 saw a massive leap in people searching for the term "image consultants" - a bigger jump than for almost any other search term.
There are now thousands of stylists working in this country, and reporter, Kate Taylor, has been looking into this growing trend by having her own clothes ruthlessly analysed by style consultant Natasha Gavin. On her first visit, Natasha put quite a lot of Kate's wardrobe in the bin, so today they embark on the second part of the project - the shopping trip.
