The 1967 Abortion Act has been described as a landmark in social policy, allowing legal access to abortion for women in England, Scotland and Wales for the first time. As part of our "sixties" week, we’ll be looking at what the passing of that Act meant for women then, how the debate has shifted since and the considerations we might need to be making for the future.
