Older people's hobbies tend to be regarded as genteel affairs - knitting, painting or a little light gardening perhaps. One group that is trying to change all that is the Expresso Bongo drumming group in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Funded by Age Concern and the North Dorset Primary Care Trust, the group meets every Monday afternoon in a local community centre to bang on a drum. The leader of the class is Paula Fleming, a community musician who works for Age Concern.
