Fashion
Cheap Fashion14 August 2006
Is our love of cheap fashion leading the industry more than the catwalk?

Sienna Miller and Denise Van Outen are rumoured to shop in Primark; Colleen McLoughlin is the face of George at Asda; and the biggest fashion retail hit of the summer has been a polka dot dress for £10 that has sold 90,000.

With a boom in the fortunes of value fashion retailers, is the industry being turned on its head? Women who might previously have shunned the bargain shops as little more than clothing supermarkets are now embracing their cheap, simple clothing ranges. Jenni discusses whether people’s tastes are now being led by the bargain retailers with Jane McNally, Director of Buying and Merchandising at Peacocks and Melanie Ricky, Fashion Features Editor at Grazia.
