Margaret Forster’s latest novel follows the fictional life of a painting by Gwen John and the lives of the women who own it.
The painting of a quiet corner of an attic room starts its life in Paris and travels to London, Cornwall and Scotland.
Margaret joins Ritual Shah to talk about what inspired her to write the novel and about the artist Gwen John.
