Anne Boston on the writer and traveller Lesley Blanch
The writer Lesley Blanch was 102 when she died and her life was one lived to the full. Whilst working for Vogue magazine, she met her husband, the diplomat and novelist Romain Gary and their postings abroad allowed her to travel the world, play hostess and dedicate herself to writing. Her most famous book, The Wilder Shores of Love told the story of four nineteenth century European women who found adventure and romance in the Middle East. Jenni is joined by her biographer, Anne Boston.
