The Orange Prize Shortlist21 Apr 2009
The UK's only annual award for fiction written by a woman

The prize attempts to honour both new and well-established writers. Previous winners have included Rose Tremain, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Kate Grenville. Jane Garvey is joined by the novelist Louise Doughty and the editor of Granta magazine, Alex Clark, to discuss the shortlist for the 2009 Orange Prize for Fiction.
