The commonest treatable cause of recurrent miscarriages - so why is it still not being picked up?
Alongside AIDS it's been described as one of the two major new diseases of the late 20th century and is the commonest, treatable cause of recurrent miscarriage but if asked, could you name it? Hughes Syndrome was discovered twenty five years ago yet extraordinarily, outside specialist circles, many, including young medical professionals, have still never heard of it. Paula Webb, a former sufferer, and Professor Graham Hughes, Head of the London Lupus Centre and the man who discovered it, join Jenni to explain why it's time Hughes Syndrome was made routine testing for any woman who's suffered a miscarriage.
