How important are slimming clubs in the quest to lose weight?

The UK diet industry is worth an estimated one billion pounds a year and offers everything from gym memberships, special diets and slimming clubs. In the UK alone, one of the largest weight loss organisations, Weight Watchers, holds 6,500 meetings a week . But can slimming clubs be more of a hindrance than a help when it comes to losing weight? To discuss their role, Jane is joined by Zoe Hellman company dietician at Weight Watchers and Jane Deville-Almond, Vice chair of the National Obesity Forum .
