Is flexible working a political priority during an economic down turn?
The Government is reconsidering plans to extend flexible working to all parents with children under 16. At the moment any parent with a child under 6 has the right to request flexible working. The new Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Lord Mandelson is examining "all of the new regulations that were due to come into force" to ensure that enough was being done to help small businesses to survive the economic downturn. So is the commitment to flexible working slipping down the political agenda? Jane talks to BBC political correspondent Jo Coburn.
