Why is this group of women still being discriminated against within the healthcare system?
Prescription for Change is the largest ever European survey into lesbian and bisexual women’s health, carried out by Stonewall. It found that fifty percent of the women in the report have had negative experiences in the health sector, many have been given incorrect information or even refused services, while others experienced inappropriate behaviour from health care professions. Jenni will be discussing the findings with Ruth Hunt, co-author of the report and Head of Policy and Research at Stonewall and Dr Sarah Jarvis, spokesperson for women's health at the Royal College of GPs.
