Mica Paris
The return of the ‘80s soul diva

Mica Paris was still in her teens when her top ten hit You Are My One Temptation made her an overnight soul sensation. She was hailed as Britain’s own soul diva in the ‘80s, but by the end of the ‘90s the record deals started to dry up and Mica branched out into acting, broadcasting, writing, and most recently took over from Trinny and Susannah as a presenter of ‘What Not To Wear’. But the hunger to sing never left her, and now she’s back with a residency at Indig02 in London and a new album on the way. Mica talks to Jane about the road she’s travelled, and performs live in the studio.

‘Mica Paris and Friends’ starts 29th June 2008 at IndigO2, at The O2 arena
