Following the elecion of Boris Johnson as Mayor of London, conseravtaive commentators are celebrating that it is, once again, trendy to be a Tory. Young women have voted for New Labour in ever larger numbers since 1997, but many of the young women who voted Conservative in the 2008 local elections did so for the first time. So what are the Conservatives now doing to address the concerns of young female voters and what are the other parties doing to catch up?
