Mary Turner Thomson on her life as the ‘other Mrs Jordan’

In November 2000, Mary Turner Thomson was a single mother bringing up a nine month old baby when she posted an advert on an internet dating site. A couple of weeks later she heard from the man she would later marry. He was charming and considerate and, other than being a bit unreliable with his timekeeping, he seemed to be her ideal partner. But, as she tells Jane, their life together was anything but perfect – he persuaded her to part with all her money, and then, after more than three years of marriage, she discovered he was not only a bigamist, but also a convicted child sex offender.

The Bigamist by Mary Turner Thomson is published by Mainstream publishing ISBN978-1-84596-347-7
