The photographer talks about her 'behind-the-scenes' photos of Muhammed Ali .
Sonia Katchian was the first woman photographer to work on on the New York Post. She was also the first woman to be allowed to take ringside photos of a heavyweight championship fight. Now an exhibition in London features her pictures of boxer Muhammed Ali, taken while Sonia was part of his entourage. They portray him as a family man, a man of the people, a loyal son as well as the iconic sportsman. Sonia takes Jane around the exhibition and talks about her life, her photographs and about whether, from her unique perspective, Ali really was ‘The Greatest’.
'An intimate portrait of Muhammad Ali' is at The Proud Galleries 14th March - 11th May 2008
