Coping with cancer through black humour

What happens when a shoe-crazy, lipstick-obsessed, wine-swilling big-city girl with a fabulous life finds a lump in her breast? Well if you’re cartoonist Marisa Acocella Marchetto the result is ‘Cancer Vixen’ – a blackly humorous graphic novel about the experience. Jenni talks to her about the role humour plays in helping her cope with cancer.

Cancer Vixen: A True Story by Marissa Acocella Marchetto is published by Fourth Estate ISBN: 978-0-00-725896-3
